Andrew found his brother Simon,
And said, “We have found the Messiah!”
He brought him to Jesus,
And Jesus said, “You are Simon,
You shall be called Peter.”

The next day Jesus found Philip,
And said to him, “Follow Me.”
Philip found Nathanael and said,
“We have found Him—
Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph!”

Nathanael said, “Can anything good
Come from Nazareth?”
Philip said, “Come and see!”
And Jesus saw Nathanael and said,
“Here is a true Israelite,
In whom there is no deceit!”
Before Philip called you,
When you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Nathanael said, “Teacher,
You are the Son of God!
You are the King of Israel!”
Jesus said, “You believe because I saw you,
But you will see greater things than these.”
